Hind is a Jordanian multimedia journalist based in Amman, Jordan currently freelancing for The Jordan Times. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism at Kingston University, London.
She has received a ‘Video Journalist of the Year’ award nomination with two of her colleagues, and a ‘Scoop of the Year’ award nomination for the best exclusive story published by a Kingston University student.
Hind has also founded artmejo, a platform for all artists and art enthusiasts in Jordan to share their work with one another and find out about upcoming gallery exhibitions, events and art activities. You can follow artmejo on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
She has volunteered with organisations such as Save the Children UK, Family Kitchen and SOS Jordan and has worked as a press officer for London-based charity Human Care Syria.
Hind has an eye for art, an ear for melody and a mind full of random thoughts. When she doesn’t answer your call it’s probably because she’s deeply lost in the realms of one of her novels with a cup of coffee in her hand. Her favourite books are Cecelia Ahern’s Thanks for the Memories, Elif Shafak’s Forty Rules of Love and Patrick Süskind’s Perfume. Her all-time favourite comedy shows are Seinfeld, The Office and Thirty Rock.
